Basically, our training methodology places participants in the centre of the action and encourages them to draw on their own experiences to gain insight and learning about themselves so they understand how and why they do the things they do at work a and at home.
By being responsible for their own learning and contributing their own ideas and insights, participants have a deeper commitment to apply what they learned back in the workplace

Similar to the iceberg, beneath the waterline, where its difficult to reach, lie our beliefs, habits and our past experiences that control most of our actions on a day-to-day basis.
It is the power of these invisible beliefs and attitudes that sabotage most training programs.
In a classic training or coaching setting, the individuals deal only with the actions and behaviours that they are conscious of.
All of us view the world we live in through our own individual set of filters created by our experiences and habit.
Only by shifting how a person views themselves and their environment will behaviour change.

Most human behaviour is predictable, almost spontaneous, depending on how a person views themselves and/or the situation and, in most cases, their view is dictated by their past experiences, rather than what is happening in the present moment.
This shows up more frequently as more companies start using 360-degree feedback models and other competency models.
Feedback on competencies is given in writing or orally but is received by the recipients through the filters they have developed over years. They therefore can only hear the feedback that their filters allow. Which most times may lead to massive miscommunication.
Through many years of habit, people can probably explain all the reasons and excuses why they are receiving this feedback and in the end, no behaviour change happens.
Companies have been giving their employees constructive feedback for years, but most of the time, behaviour does not truly change.

Until employees are aware of their own beliefs, attitudes and world views, they will not be able to view feedback in a new way.
